The following Notice has been posted to the village noticeboard.
NOTICE OF ELECTION
ELECTION OF A COUNCILLOR FOR THE PARISH OF NOCTON
Notice is hereby given:
1. An election is to be held of a councillor for the parish of Nocton.
2. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, North Kesteven District Council, Council Offices, Kesteven Street, Sleaford, NG34 7EF, on any day after the date of this notice, but not later than noon on Friday 29th October 2010.
3. Nomination papers may be obtained from the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, North Kesteven District Council, who will at the request of any elector for the said electoral area, prepare for signature a nomination paper.
4. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 25th November 2010.
5. Electors should take note that new applications for a postal or postal proxy vote, must reach the Returning Officer, Electoral Services, North Kesteven District Council, Council Offices, Kesteven Street, Sleaford, NG34 7EF by 5.00 pm on Wednesday 10th day of November 2010, to be effective for this election.
6. Applications for a new proxy vote, or to change or cancel an existing proxy vote, other than for a medical emergency must reach the Returning Officer by 5.00 pm on Wednesday 17th November 2010 if they are to be effective for this election.
7. Applications for a proxy vote appointment on the grounds of a medical emergency must reach the Returning Officer by 5.00 pm on Thursday 25th November 2010 if they are to be effective for this election.
