Nocton Dairies Ltd
Not much news emanating from the website of Nocton Dairies Ltd lately - nothing about NKDC's refusal of their planning applications for the pipeline and reservoir I see - and it is too early to expect any information about their future plans I suppose.

This entry also needs updating - to incorporate the details about the two related planning applications that were refused permission recently. Any offers?

80 jobs and 8,000 cows
Doesn't this seem a long time ago now? I think this was the first coverage of the Nocton Dairies issue by the Lincolnshire Echo. Our local newspaper has to be commended for providing extensive coverage of the whole 'super dairy' issue.

'... local people in the area mounted a campaign that focused on a diverse range of issues and the level of support garnered by local group CAFFO (Campaign Against Factory Farming Operations) attests to its transcending “vegetarians and activists” and involving a cross-section of concerned people.'

Where to now?
'Three strikes and Mr Willes is out' wrote one of my contacts recently.
As this now brings the plans for a dairy at Nocton to a close, I intend making this my last blog entry about Nocton Dairies Ltd and its Directors unless further news breaks.
That said, I will be monitoring the forthcoming 'Environment Agency v Willes' court case adjourned until 12th April 2011 at Barnstaple Magistrates Court, as I will be very interested to see the outcome.
