Farmer fined £19,500 for waste law breaches
Following an adjournment of the Environment Agency 'v' Willes court case in March (see here: http://nocton.blogspot.com/2011/03/democracy-in-action.html), local press in Devon now report on the outcome of the Hearing of 12th April.

Incidentally, Torridge District Council have yet to consider a retrospective planning application for an enlarged slurry lagoon and channel on Mr Willes' Sedborough Farm (1/1110/2010/FULM). The decision is still classed as 'Pending'.
