Innovative Thinking

Dunston Hub

"Starting in May, the Village Hall committee have agreed to host the hub on Thursdays 2 - 4pm. A mobile butcher and fishmonger will call.

The post office is in the Village Hall 2.30 - 4pm so we will be providing teas, coffees & cake for people to come along & chat and use these services. We are also hoping that some of the villagers who have surplus veg and eggs will also bring them along to sell or exchange. The one good thing that came out of the Dairy episode was that it made us remember we ARE a village and try to keep that idea of community going.

Jean Ford."

Nocton Hub... possibly?

Arranging for a local mobile butcher and fishmonger to attend with their goods available for sale... and now with the allotments established, getting villagers to sell/exchange their locally grown produce, both seem great ideas in principle.  It may even help in getting something established before the Nocton Parish Plan gets underway.

Perhaps our own Village Hall could adopt a similar theme to help promote their Wednesday coffee mornings?
