Community Spirit

Woodhall Spa voted Best Kept Village of the Year 2011

Chairman of the Parish Council, David Clarke explains... "the beauty of Woodhall Spa is no accident".

"While no deliberate work went into the best kept village awards, we regularly look at what needs doing and it just gets done. We have a lot of volunteer groups in the village who are really great. There are a bunch of ladies that pick litter in the woods. We have a Britain in Bloom group that looks after all the planters in the village that are very popular. There is also a maintenance man that goes round painting fences in the village, cutting grass and repairing benches. We are very keen to get things done if they need doing." Woodhall Spa seem to have this about right.  Perhaps the 'Woodhall spirit' is something we can emulate in our village too - certainly the idea of volunteer groups seem to be gathering pace?
