After deciding to take my lovely wife out for the evening to celebrate our 34th Wedding Anniversary, what better way than to turn out for the Lincolnshire Day fest at Nocton Village Hall.
Many familiar faces in the crowd, much laughter and banter, plenty to drink and eat... what a brilliant event! This has to be a permanent fixture on our calendar each year for the future. Furthermore, to celebrate by singing The Lincolnshire Poacher was the icing on the cake for me... having been affiliated to the 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment 'The Poachers' during my service with Lincolnshire ACF, it brought back good memories.
Well done to all who were involved in organising this super event - you worked so hard with preparation and making it happen on the night for others - but the results were there for all to see and enjoy.
A big thank you to all who were involved in putting this event together:
- Pete Askew
- Lucille Auckland (Flowers)
- Carolyn Franklin
- Joan Franklin
- Philip Franklin
- Doreen Green
- Ann Kennedy
- David Rumbelow
- Elaine Storr
- Lorna Storr
- Andrews (Meat), Metheringham
- Daisy Maid Ice Cream, Skellingthorpe
- John Ellis (Wine)
- Lincoln Market (Veg)
- Tom Woods Brewery, Market Rasen
Also to any others who were 'beeyaverin away' to clear up the 'kelter'... and all that supported this fantastic event... nearly 100 of us on the night.
THANK YOU
