'To Do' List

Action Required

Your Parish Councillors have prepared an initial list of issues that require attention to improve our village environment.  At the last Parish Council meeting it was agreed this list could be published into the public domain, so that residents can see what is being planned on their behalf.  This is not a definitive list however and residents are invited to provide other suggestions for action, via email to:
noctonparishcouncil@hotmail.co.uk.

Responsibility for such issues have yet to be clarified and Alan Brown and Steve Welsh of Lincolnshire County Council are still to accept in writing, the list of items agreed with them for action.  It is early days, but the idea is to have an ongoing 'To Do' list so that outstanding tasks do not 'fall through the net'.

New Community Magazine

You may like to know that Chris Hewitt has completed the final issue of the All Saint's Church magazine (October 2011).  This should be arriving through your door any time now, if it hasn't done so already.  Next month, a new village community magazine will emerge for Nocton.

The 'Nocton Doodle' will be produced and edited by Chris, with the intention of incorporating a wider range of articles/news for the community as a whole.  Hopefully, this will impact on a wider audience who will view this as a fresh approach and find it of interest.  All Saint's Church have decided not to continue with a unique Parish Magazine, but instead will submit their contributions for inclusion in the new village magazine, as will our other community groups.  Any advertisements will be transferred to the new publication until their duration expires, but there will still be advertising space available.

This is an exciting time for Nocton, with many good works taking place around the village.  The whole aim is to keep our village a delightful place to live and for others to use for their leisure activity.
