Hi Peter,

I hope you are well and had a good Christmas and New Year. I should think you were ready for a break!

Can you please let me know how you are doing on the development so we can inform residents for you? I said you had agreed that consideration was reasonable and you were happy to keep us informed. Is that still what you want to say?

Many Thanks,
Marianne

Marianne,

As soon as we'd finished for Christmas I was ready to get back again, I just want to get Nocton completed, but ever since we've returned, the appalling weather has continued, if it's not raining, it's been freezing and now it's too windy, but I suppose it's just making up for the past 2 Winters when we probably only lost a couple of week's work compared to at least 6 weeks already this year!

I posted a letter to all the residents along Wegberg Road a few weeks ago and we've finally made our way to the end with the huge surface water pipe and as suspected, unfortunately we have foul drains now that are just at the wrong level, so we have Anglian Water coming out tomorrow to hopefully let us connect in to a lower pipe in the pumping station.

Once we've releveled and relocated the foul drains at that end, we'll then return along Wegberg Road in the opposite direction installing the foul drain, after which we can kerb and tarmac etc.

We've had to hold fire on finishing the footpath on the section we have already kerbed because Highways require structural drawings (even though the retaining wall is only 18" high) and I have an Engineer working with them on that at the moment.

Ultimately it's not going to take any longer to complete, but it would have been nice to see at least one side of the road all completed a little earlier.

If anyone knows how we can do this any faster, neater and tidier  taking all things in to consideration, they are welcome to make suggestions and I'm on site 95% of the time if they would like to speak to me if they want anything explaining and other than a couple of residents, everyone has/is being very understanding and patient.

Feel free to contact me any time if you have any queries.

Regards,
Peter

Following up residents concerns earlier this month, I received the following helpful response from Peter Sowerby, and now permission to pass on the info.

Many thanks,
Marianne
