'Earlier in the year we featured the role of Nocton Hall as an American Air Force hospital during Gulf War One back in 1991, highlighting the concept of using RAF Waddington as the airfield into which the patients would have been flown to. This concept was nothing new to the county as RAF Metheringham played a similar role during the Second World War in support of the hospital at Nocton Hall.'
