Dear Friends and Colleagues,

My latest villages Newsletter is online, together with a list of the thirty events where you may have seen me in this last month! I hope you find the news interesting and helpful!

County Council Elections this Thursday May 4th

That is roads, lights, pavements and verges, street signs, schools, care, planning, heritage and supporting the economy - pretty important really.

The County Council, however, needs to do better. Issues raised on the doorsteps so far are as follows:

Potholes in appalling local roads, concern about massive building without matching facilities and services such as school places and health facilities, loss of the cost-effective recycling sites and other local services, congestion and speeding traffic on the “rat-run” and support for community facilities.

Branston, Potterhanworth and Nocton

Peter Lundgren is standing in the Potterhanworth and Coleby Division, an excellent Councillor.  I hope you will want to give him your support there. Peter is taking over from me in Branston, Potterhanworth and Nocton - I hope!

Metheringham Rural, incl Dunston

In Dunston, Nick Byatt is an excellent local councillor and I am sure residents in Metheringham Division will want to give him their full support.

Nick Byatt
