* BREAKING NEWS *
The following text has just been forwarded to me for publication:
"Dear Colleagues,
Our meeting was very timely. On Friday, the applicants had a meeting at the District Council Planning Department and subsequently withdrew the application from the planning meeting of April 27th. That meeting is now cancelled. The applicants may now consider how to improve their environmental controls and highways issues. Discussions are continuing to decide a new timescale.
Thank you very much indeed for your carefully considered responses to the application. The number of responses has been huge, and raised many issues which needed to be effectively planned in advance of any application.
We do want more local jobs and to see thriving agriculture on agricultural land. However, the size has been hard to comprehend, and it may be that this ambitious development is just too large to overcome the environmental issues it raises. I shall let you know when I hear more.
Whilst writing, I have attached copy of my recent newsletters, just to keep you informed.
Kind Regards,
- Prospective Independent Parliamentary Candidate for Sleaford and North Hykeham Constituency
- Independent County and District Councillor for Navenby and Branston District and the Cliff Villages
- Leader of the Lincolnshire Independents
Cows absolved of causing global warming with nitrous oxide
Is it better to let animals graze on grassland? Certain studies have suggested that grass fed cattle in the UK and US can actually be good for the environment, as long as the animals are free range. Read more here:

Gordon Ramsay and Pixie Lott star in 'healthy' milk campaign
This campaign is commissioned by the Milk Marketing Forum of trade body Dairy UK, it is one-third financed by the European Commission. I presume the two 'celebrities' know how the milk is being produced... or do they?
