Subject: validation of Nocton Dairies' planning application
Dear all
On behalf of Nocton Dairies I’d like to confirm that we’ve heard from the Council that the planning application will be validated this week. The reason for the delay has been the high complexity and sensitivity of the application.
Apologies for putting all your addresses in direct rather than ‘bcc’ing – I had lots of bouncing emails the last time.
Kind regards
Amy

I had originally planned to contact North Kesteven District Council this morning for an update on the position and will still do so. If I gain any further information from their planning department I will report back here.
Despite many rumours that the validation period was being planned to fall over the Christmas period, with denials from certain quarters that this was a tactical move, the fact remains it appears this is now going to be the case.
With the inherent difficulties of trying to arrange public meetings with the remaining Parish Councils and for the public display of validated plans by NKDC during what will be a festive holiday period, it may be these will need to be scheduled for the New Year, just before the 28-day consultation period expires.
This will leave a very short amount of time for the public to prepare and draft their chosen responses and is less than ideal, if this important application is going to be given the fullest consideration.
Update
I managed to speak with Philip Rowson this morning at NKDC. Philip has confirmed that the application is not currently valid, but is likely to be validated by the end of the week.
NKDC will then embark on its public consultation and publicity in accordance with its statutory obligations. It was also confirmed that the public consultation period will be 28 days in view of the complexity of the application.
The separate applications for the reservoir and digestate pipeline have not yet been submitted to North Kesteven District Council.

All we need now is labelling on whether the origin is from cloned stock.
