To feed or not to feed, that is the question
Where there are watercourses, such as a river, brook, beck, mill stream, culvert or even a ditch, there is usually an abundance of wildlife too. For example, our own village is enhanced by many birds, including a population of ducks and we are fast approaching the breeding season for our feathered friends.
As with most wildlife, it is usually best to leave them to their own devices, in order that natural behaviour is adopted and maintained. The articles below may be of interest:
