Anti-social behaviour

Wellhead Lane; Main Street/Potterhanworth Rd

The following message has been received via the Neighbourhood Watch Alert System:

"It has been reported to me that a large group of youths from several vehicles were on Wellhead Lane and Main Road, Nocton at around 10:30pm last evening (Wednesday 13th August 2014) and caused damage whilst en route to the Nocton Hall old hospital site apparently 'ghost watching'. Some minor damage was caused to roadside furniture and a 'For Sale' sign. The incident was reported to the police by residents in the area.

I am informed by our local PCSO Paul Flannigan that a police vehicle attended but was unable to trace the youths or vehicles.  We have been promised additional patrols to prevent incidents of this nature from escalating.

Can I remind all NW members that if you are reporting information to the police via 101 or even 999, you should provide as much information as you can, vehicle type, colour and registered number if possible, along with descriptions of individuals. This helps greatly when officers do eventually attend and allows them to follow up the complaint, even if they don't readily identify a 'suspect' at the time.

Help keep Nocton safe, ring it in!

Your neighbourhood police team Do want to know what's going on, so they can manage their resources where needed.
