A Produce Show and Nocton WI have been busy.
Sewing and craft skills have made them quite dizzy.
Is the card good enough or shall I make another?
How many practices are you going to have Mother?
On the day of the show cars are laden with flowers.
Where is the painting on which I spent hours?
Can I squeeze one more cake into the boot?
I hope nothing spoils while we are en route.
Items are displayed with incredible care.
No points being gained is the worrying fear.
Nocton, a team of nine, and the aim is to win.
All is now done so let the judging begin.
There are eight Institutes competing today.
For cups and trophies to take away.
Points gained for cooking Doreen a salver won.
A candlestick for Jenny’s floral art was the second to come.
First, Second, Third or Highly Recommended for each class.
We don’t mind which just as long as we pass.
When all points are added together have we had some good luck?
Congratulations Nocton, you’ve won the Andrew Cup!
