'This is a small development and will have a minimal impact on this part of the Conservation Area. It is proposed that the size and design of the proposed dwellings will be in keeping with neighbouring properties in the immediate area. This application has not identified any significant affects to any heritage assets. The nearest listed building to the proposed development is Park Farm.'

Update for 24th March

I notice two formal objections have since been submitted against the outline planning application. Having read both, I concur wholeheartedly with their reasoning - that this development is totally inappropriate for the location.

Whilst not pertinent to planning permission, I beg the question as to why someone might choose to lose the amenity value of a large garden, with open countryside views to the rear of what is currently a desirable property?

If one now considers the potential implications of the outline plans - having your existing property potentially overlooked by two new-build detached properties, whilst also burdening the existing property with a shared driveway/access, one has to wonder whether the applicant will seek to place the land and property on the open market, once/if outline planning is approved.

What impact will that leave for the immediate neighbourhood I wonder?
