Nocton Cricket Club - raffle

Nocton Cricket Club Raffle

As you can see from the photograph the cricket club’s “facilities” are in need of more than just a bit of attention! This shows David Glew with Vic (out of shot) stopping the tea room roof from leaking again – just 1 hour before an afternoon of heavy rain! We are a typical tiny village club with none of the advantages of sponsorship or grounds maintenance that bigger clubs enjoy. We are off to a great start to the season winning all but one game so far but the club’s finances need a boost so we can improve the pavilion and tea room – and that’s just for starters!

We are holding a raffle draw on July 3rd during our home match against Horncastle so there’s plenty of time left to buy a ticket or two at £1 each. They are available at home matches (June 19th, 26th and July 3rd) or they can be bought at Nocton Post Office, from Richard (321558), David (321756) or Jon (320652). The list of prizes is shown here. Why not have a go and see what you might win – as well as supporting the village cricket club?!
