Miscellaneous announcements

An invitation

"I have lived in Nocton since January 2016 and I am a Christian (tho’ not religious…). I have discovered that there are a number of people here who are (a) Christians worshipping at different church communities in and around Lincoln, and (b) Christians living in the village who do not attend any church at the moment. Having met and prayed with a Christian couple who also live here, we believe that some of these folk in both of these groups could be interested in meeting regularly (other than a Sunday), and informally, within Nocton. With that in mind, we would like to invite any Christians living in the village, who would be interested, to get together with us, initially for a chat, prayer and refreshments, (probably a weekday evening). From this we hope that we may be able to meet once a month, to get to know each other, to build up one another in our faith, and to see where God takes us in our faith, and to serve the community. We would stress that it is not at all our intention to draw people away from any church at which they regularly worship, whether in Nocton or elsewhere, but simply to meet in the name of Jesus, to be a place of friendship, encouragement, support and prayer in and for our village, serving the community. If you are interested/need more info please can you message me (from the Facebook entry) or text me (07740 265974) with your contact details by Friday 14 October? I will then respond as soon as possible with further details. With thanks and blessings..."
