Following the article in last month's Doodle, there has been a rather disappointing response from residents about the possibility of having a gas supply brought into the village with less than twenty households expressing an interest so far. This represents only about 5% of properties in the village and it is most unlikely that this would be sufficient for the National Grid to take the matter further.
To give residents a little more time to decide whether or not they wish to respond to this survey, the Parish Council has, therefore, decided to extend its original deadline for responses to 16th March.
If you like the idea of having a gas supply to your property, then please let Doreen Green, the Parish Clerk, know by emailing her at noctonparishcouncil@hotmail.co.uk or by dropping her a line with your name and address to 1 Potterhanworth Road Nocton LN4 2BP.
The more people that are interested, the lower the costs will be!
Please note that expressing an interest at this stage does NOT commit you to having a gas supply - the Parish Council just wishes to find out how many people are interested in the possibility so that it can decide whether or not to take the idea further.

As reported at the Parish Council meeting last night, representatives of North Kesteven District Council have met with Leda Properties to discuss the recommendations of English Heritage and Officers of the Council following the Options Appraisal. The meeting took place last Friday - 3 February 2012.
Leda have agreed to discuss the findings with their shareholders and intend to appoint a 'new designer' with experience of retaining a heritage ruin. It was agreed a further meeting will take place in three months time.
It has been suggested to Leda Properties that it would be useful to meet informally with representatives from the Parish Council. As such, the Parish Council will issue an invite shortly.
