Radical planning shake-up threatens green fields

'The Government has today published a highly sensitive draft National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) for public consultation. This represents the biggest shake-up of planning for over 50 years and CPRE believes it will place the countryside under increasing threat as the economy recovers.'

£98m Lincoln bypass delayed until 2017... at the earliest

'The road, originally planned as a dual carriageway, was granted permission by the county council last summer, with the hope of it being ready by 2015.

But following Government cutbacks the project was under threat and the road was scaled down to just a single carriageway.'
