Government plans to exempt small-scale renewable energy generators on farms from planning regulations will be a boost for the rural economy, said the NFU today.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
You may like to read this report from Allan Butler of the Centre for Rural Policy Research, University of Exeter. The conclusion is quite telling:
'The policy of increasing biogas plants across the UK is at present not being impeded by the planning system.'
So why is the relaxation of planning regulation really necessary?
