Wind Farm - Normanby

Normanby Hall

My wife and I had an enjoyable visit to Normanby Hall the other day. As we reached our destination, we were quite surprised to discover eight 125 metre-high turbines, located just behind the hall in the grounds of the 300-acre estate.

The turbines did not affect our visit in any way, but given that we are facing a much larger industrial development on Nocton Fen, I decided to do a little more research about the operational Bagmoor Farm wind farm. You may be interested in the information below:

Locals who appear not to be affected by the Bagmoor Farm wind farm

'They haven’t bothered me at all. They make no noise and I think the view of them is quite nice.'

An alternative opinion

THE Flixborough Grange wind farm inquiry has heard evidence from a dad who says turbines harm his autistic sons.

Why Samantha Cameron’s dad is stirring up a storm

'Sir Reginald Sheffield has upset his Lincolnshire neighbours by installing a windfarm, but is also opposing a small, new abattoir near his summer estate in Yorkshire.'

SOUL, The  Barmoor Anti Wind Farm Group

'The local community has been ignored, misled and trampled upon for 10 years in the course of getting this hideously inappropriate scheme through the planning stages, and eventually sold to EDF.'
