Work is being carried out to replace the aging electricity transformer on the Bridle Path. This has been in situ since 1954 and requires renewal. The mains cabling has been uncoupled, the old transformer removed by Ainscough crane and the new transformer housing has been delivered to site ready for installation.
A new plinth has to be laid prior to the housing being craned into position. Once this work has been completed, the new transformer can be built and made operational.
