Was it just me, or did other residents get disturbed by a couple of motor vehicles racing around the village last night (Thursday 21st)?
Accelerating out of the Green and sounding their horns, they roared up Main Street, only to return later cruising the village, up to who knows what.
Judging from the shapes of the vehicles, silhouetted by the headlights, the vehicles appeared to be a Vauxhall Astra (possibly an SRi) and a Vauxhall Corsa, but I couldn't be certain. All this activity was taking place in the very early hours of the morning, 12.30am to about 2.15am.
Perhaps it is time to adopt a formal Neighbourhood Watch system in the village in order to record the occasional nocturnal disturbances we seem to get, often related to trespass in the Nocton Hall grounds.
